Water is helpful for the prosperity and growth of every substance, only then all substances attain perfection. In the absence of water, the consciousness power of any substance is destroyed, rivers bring new consciousness by irrigating all the substances with their water. The river Ganga is not only religiously important for the Indian people but it also has economic importance. Through this, irrigation of agriculture, electricity obtained from the dams built over it, transportation through its waterways, trade and tourism strengthen the economic system of India. It has many tributaries which are an important source of irrigation for many states of India. A variety of crops are grown in these states which help financially. There are also sources of income based on tourism on this river. There are many tourist places full of natural beauty on its coast, which are historically important and also a source of income. There are also many pilgrimage centers on the banks of Ganga - Haridwar, Allahabad and Varanasi which occupy a special place in important pilgrimage centers.
